My sympathy to the family. Death of a loved one can be emotionally devastating. I hope it comforts you to know that when Jesus was on earth he taught that death was like a deep sleep. I thought that was comforting because we know sleeping people can be awaken. Well, so can the dead, by means of the future resurrection.
