Obituary of Sarah Hoffmeyer Benton

Funeral service for Sarah Hoffmeyer Benton, 102, of Talladega and formerly of Oxford, will be Sunday May 18, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Rev. Mike Irons will officiate. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 1-1:30 PM at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mrs. Benton passed away May 14, 2014 at Talladega Health Care and Rehab. She was a native of Oxford and lived in Talladega the past 19 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Owner and Operator of Hoffmeyer’s Antiques of Oxford. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Hoffmeyer and Scott Benton, along with her parents and numerous sisters and brothers. Her survivors include her children: Dolores Morrow (William) of Talladega and Sara McDaniel, (Albert) of Oxford, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Will, Clay and Rodney Thornton, Scott McDaniel, Josh and Andrew Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church.
