Obituary of Jaime Duran Laird

Quinton - Jaime Duran Laird, age 40, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. Laird will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Usrey Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. Interment will be at Eureka United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincoln, AL.

Jaime lived most of her life in Talladega. She attended school at Alabama School for the Deaf and graduated from Trussville High School. She was a longtime employee with the Alabama Department of Rehab Services. Jaime’s passion was her family and advocating for those she served. Jaime worked tirelessly to ensure people that are deaf and hard of hearing were able to obtain and maintain employment for the betterment of their lives. She strived to make all things equal for everyone she came in contact with.

Jaime is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Nixon (Jimmy); and her mother-in-law, Sandra Barton Laird. She is survived by her husband, Dexter Laird; sons, Max Laird, Jacob Walker, and Kory Laird; daughter, Marissa Lynema; brother, Pete Morrison; sister, Kelly Turner; father, Jim Duran (Lois); and father-in-law, Charles Laird.
