Obituary of Joshua Lee Mathews

Joshua Lee Mathews, 30, passed away June 29^th, 2018. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday July 6^th, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with John Elston officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday July 5^th, 2018 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home.

Joshua was a member at New Life Covenant Church and loved working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Talladega Healthcare Center.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Mathews; daughter, Aubrianna Mathews; son, Jordan Johnson; father, John Mathews Jr.; brothers, Brandon, Daniel and Billy Petenbrink; sister, Jennifer Mathews; nieces, Kaitlynn, Jessica, Rhiannon, Serenity, Madison and Addyson; nephew, Landon; aunts and uncles, Susan Patschke, Sonya and Jimmie Petenbrink, Sherry and Michael Bortmas, Tracy and Tracy Mathews; grandparents, Barbara Brown and John Mathews Sr.; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Brenda Speaks and a host of cousins and friends.

Joshua was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Mathews.

Active pallbearers will be Tom Speaks, Billy Petenbrink, Joe Patterson, Scott Blankenship and Brandon Daniel Mathews.

Jordan Johnson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
