Obituary of Lillian McWilliams Bowman

Talladega - Funeral services for Lillian McWilliams Bowman, age 90, will be on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Bowman died on June 21, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Bowman is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, James Luther “Bubby” Bowman; her parents, Ramey Carl McWilliams and Ola Finch McWilliams; brothers, Alton, R.L., Carl, James, and Kenneth McWilliams; sisters, Emma Wyatt and Jeanne Ayers.

She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Bowman Armbrester and Cindy Bowman Taylor (Steve); grandchildren, James Christopher Welcher (Linda), Matthew McWilliams Armbrester (Mandy), James Robert Gaither (Allison), Adam Freeman (Alana), Daniel Freeman, and Jeff Taylor (Rebecca); great-grandchildren, Kyle Welcher, Ryan Welcher, Santana Welcher Mellon, Hayes Armbrester, Charlie Armbrester, Landon Gaither, Georgia Gaither, Grace Taylor, Emma Taylor, Jessica Freeman and Lydia Freeman ; best friend, Becky White; many loving nieces and nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Welcher, Matt Armbrester, Jim Gaither, Mike McWilliams, Kyle Welcher, and Sid Gambrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Taylor, Johnny McWilliams, Burk Wyatt, Roland McWilliams, Troy McWilliams, Buster Braswell, Phillip Bowman, Terry Bowman, and James Wilhelm. The family wishes to thank New Beacon Hospice and a special thanks to Sid Gambrell, Connie Jones, Patricia Davis, and Tena McGarity.
