Obituary of James Barry Swan

Mr. James Swan, 67, of Ashville, Alabama, formerly of Birmingham, passed away on June 14, 2018 in Ashville.

Mr. Swan grew up in Birmingham.  He retired from O'Neal Steel after 27 years of service.  After retirement, he moved to Shoal Creek to spend time with his mother.  Mr. Swan loved working and being outdoors.

He is survived by his son , Scott Swan (Charmyne); mother, Lilly Mae Swan; the love of his life his Grandon, Ryker Swan; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Usrey Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Blair officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2018, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City.
