Obituary of Selma Marie Layton Hilyer

Mrs. Selma Marie Layton Hilyer, 82, of Cropwell, Alabama, formerly of Birmingham, passed away on June 9, 2018 in Birmingham.

Mrs. Hilyer was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Lee Hilyer.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Ann Hilyer Fletcher (Ronald), Sherry Marie Hilyer and Zandra Montgomery; son, Ronald Lee Hilyer (Terry); grandchildren, Scott Michael Fletcher (Robin), Allison Brown (Steven) and Brooke Hilyer; and great-grandchildren, Kinley Fletcher, Grant Fletcher and Logan Brown.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Cropwell Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Moran officiating. Interment will follow at Valley Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12, 2018, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City.
