Obituary of Michael Earl Watts
Michael Earl Watts “Jack", 66, left his earthly home on June 10, 2018 surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.
He was a Godly, humble and giving man; devoted husband; loving father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching Alabama football.
Jack was born on November 30, 1951 and was a lifelong resident of Munford. He was a member of the Munford Church of Christ and retired from the State of Alabama Corrections Department in Childersburg.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Munford Church of Christ. Shane Clark will officiate and burial will be in Munford Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the church from 3:30 p.m. until time of the service.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Deborah Watts, of 44 years; his parents, Earl and Saranel Watts and his sister, Suzanne Champion.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Rob) Atkinson; sons, Jeremy (Jamie) Watts and Mark (Melissa) Watts; grandchildren, Tyler Lackey, Halee Watts, Brittany Watts, Hayden Atkinson, Gavin Watts, Callie Thompson, Trenton Watts and Nolan Atkinson; great-grandson, Braylon Watts.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Lackey, Hayden Atkinson, Nolan Atkinson, Gavin Watts, Trenton Watts and Destin Craft.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Murrell and Joe Tom Stephens.
