David Louis Damke, 40, also known as Chip or Isa to many, passed away on May 20th due to an undetected internal injury after a fall. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 16th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Classic on Noble in Anniston, AL for all of those who knew him.
David was a phenomenal artist, brother, son and friend. He was a black belt in Taekwondo and practiced martial arts all his life. He graduated from Anniston High School and Jacksonville State University. David was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity while at Jacksonville State. David was an unmistakable light on this earth, who made an intentional effort to spread kindness and love. He delighted in pleasing others and helping them find their way. He made friends in everyone and every situation. He loved to dance, live life and comfort others. David is preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Damke (Big Rick), and is survived by his mother, Barbara Blatz Damke; brother, Richard Damke III (Rick); sister-in-law, Katie Fields Damke; nephew, Richard Damke IV (Bogey); sister, Wendy Damke Jacobs; brother-in-law, Allen Cleveland Jacobs III; nieces, Blythe and McKenzie Jacobs; and puppy, Walker Texas Ranger.
