Funeral service for Rebecca Pruet Newman will be held Wednesday 12:00 pm,September 25 2013, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Jones officiating. A private committal service at Pine Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum will follow. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the church.
Mrs. Newman was a native of Ashland, AL and a resident of Talladega for most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega. She was a retired school teacher with over 30 years experience.
She is survived by her husband, Julian Newman, her daughters, Lee Ann Futrell (Bill), and Mandy Sample (Lew), 5 grandchildren, Allie and MaryBeth Eastlick,Marilyn,Carter,and Saxon Sample. 1 sister Mary Gaither.
Pallbearers will be Bill Futrell,Lew Sample,Saxon Scarborough,Charles Montgomery,Stuart Wiggins,and Jeff Camp.
