Amy was a DEAR friend to me. I have cancer. In 2016, the week before Christmas, I was receiving lung radiation at CTCA in Newnan, GA. My husband had no vacation time left. We were having a terrible time financially. I was working at 2 hospitals as a Clinical Lab Scientist, before my diagnosis. I could not even get a disability check for 7 months. She offered to go with me 5 days, without pay, since that was a bad time for most people to be away from family. When we returned, my husband and I had planned on having a Christmas party for close friends and family. After all, I didn’t know how long I would be here, so this was very important to me! We only had 2 days to decorate our tree and get ready for the party. Amy practically decorated our tree by herself. She even spent the night to finish it the next morning. I was VERY tired from all the radiation and chemo. But, we had a blast, and made the best of it. Now, that’s a TRUE AND CARING FRIEND!!!! And, as usual, she was the life of the party!!! I have really missed her, since she has been working in Pell City pulling doubles, and in between, traveling on another job. I was REALLY looking forward to her coming over and staying with me some, since her recent return from her travel job. Unfortunately, this will never happen. I love you Amy and you will forever be in my heart! ❤️
