Bertha J. Ramsey, age 87, died on April 27, 2018 at St. Vincent's St. Clair Hospital in Pell City, Alabama.  From her birth in Olive Hill, Kentucky on August 25, 1930 until her death she nourished people around her with love and spiritual faith.  She was born on a farm in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Richard and Bessie (Cole) Gee and was the oldest of seven children by her birth mother.  Bertha married William Ramsey on December 29, 1947 in Boyd County, Kentucky and they were married for 59 years before William's death in 2006.  Together they had five children, Stephen D. Ramsey (Nancy), David A. Ramsey (Janet), Lorna J. Stubbs (Bobby), Linda J. Marshall (Terrence), Rachel A. Bolton (Matthew).  Bertha’s special interests were quilting, sewing, needlework, and teaching others about God's kingdom.  Bertha came to know and love Jehovah God and dedicated her life to Him on May 18, 1963 when she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and she remained faithful until her death.  She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, her husband, one son (David), one son-in-law, and two great-grandchildren.  She is survived by one sibling, Barbara Foster, four children and their respective spouses and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home of Pell City, 21271 US Highway 231.  Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Pell City.
