Obituary of George Oliver Allen

George Oliver Allen, 86 of Alpine passed away March 23, 2018. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday March 26, 2018 at Hepzibah Baptist Church with burial in Laniers Cemetery. Rev. Randy Hagen will officiate services. His family will receive friends from 1-2:00pm Monday at church.

Mr. Allen enjoyed raising cattle, he was retired from Kimberly-Clark and a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Pauline Allen, brother John Allen, sisters Lorene Campbell, Madge Parks and Ruth Caldwell. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Lou Ann Boyd Allen sons Mitchell Allen (Lynn), Scott Allen (Ann) and Mark Allen (Cindy), sister Virginia Allen Ingram, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great –grandchild. Pallbearers will be Brandon Allen, Wesley Allen, Reid Allen, Joshua Allen, Benjamin Allen and Jesse Allen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cary Allen, John B. Allen, Luke Allen, Murray Caldwell, James Hayes, Wayne Ingram, James Maxwell, Lowell Maxwell, Bennie Youngblood, Guy Kaylor, Larry Crews, Adam Pennington, Paul Blankenship, Hank Fannin and Bryan Allen. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to Hepzibah Baptist Church or Laniers Cemetery. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct.
