Obituary of Euel Ray Parnell

Mr. Euel Ray Parnell, 88, of Ragland, Alabama passed away on February 22, 2018 in Ragland.

Mr. Parnell was a member of the James D. Truss # 515 Masonic Lodge. He was a Past Master and received his 50 year membership pin in 2003. He served as a Councilman with the City of Ragland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Bertha Parnell, and by his son, Jeffery Parnell.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Parnell; daughter, Karen Smelley (Lynn); brother, Buel Fay Parnell (Bobbie); grandchildren, Shannon Smelley (Kristy), Chasity Evans (Jerry) and Heather Parnell; and a great-grandchild, Harper Elders.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with the Rev. Edwin Talley and the Rev. Ted St. John officiating. Interment will follow at Ragland Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the funeral home.
