Obituary of David Robert King

Mr. David Robert King, 66, of Moody, AL passed away on January 21, 2018 in Moody.

Mr. King was a member of Ben Jacobs Lodge #643, Saints John Lodge #931, Birmingham Scottish Rite Bodies, Zamora Shrine Center and Dixie Shrine Club. He was also a member of Peaceful Valley Baptist Church in Moody.

He is survived by his wife, Donna King; daughter, Amanda Brookshire; son, David King, Jr.; brother, Mike King (Alecia); 10 grandchildren, and 11 great- grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday January 25, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with Lt. Freddy Turentine and the Rev. Roderick Beaver officiating. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Laurie King for her generous donation of a kidney to David in 2009, allowing him to have a longer life.
