Obituary of Bobby Calvin Jones

Bobby Calvin Jones, 74, of Lincoln passed away January 4, 2018 at Grandview Hospital in Birmingham, AL.  His funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Providence Baptist Church with Craig Spurlin, Roger Young, and David Gaither officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega.

Bobby was a native of Talladega and a resident of Lincoln for the past 17 years. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was retired from Thompson Gas Company.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Jones; daughters, Michelle Surrett (Ernie), Renee Jones, Sandi Barley, Karrie Scott; sons, Hank Waites (Traci), Shane Jones (Brooke); brother, Jerry Jones; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Surrett, Zach Waites, Harold Webster, Mark Gurley, Myles Gurley, and Radley Sexton.

Honorary pallbearers will be LCpl. Mathew Surrett, the Men’s Sunday School Class of Providence Baptist, Robert Rogers, and Jimmy Carter.
