Obituary of Joe Frank Hutto
Joe Frank Hutto, 84, of Talladega passed away after a long illness January 3, 2018 at Col. Robert L. Howard Veterans Home in Pell City, AL. His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Billy Church officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.
Mr. Hutto was born July 26, 1933 in Talladega, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Cason Hutto and Amy Lee Hutto; brother, Colvin Eugene Hutto; and sister Betty Paul Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Hutto; son Joey Hutto (Susan); daughter, Pam Hicks(Steve); grandchildren, John Hutto, Virginia Hutto, Callie Hicks; sisters Frances Barber and Bobbie Limbaugh.
Joe graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953 and joined the Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in France. After serving in the military he returned to Talladega and worked in the construction business with his father. In 1968, he formed Hutto Construction Company where he worked until his retirement.
Pallbearers will be Terry Hutto, Stan Mitchell, Mike Limbaugh, Larry Jones, Mark Lackey, and Ronald Lackey. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Allred, Johnny Trammell, Johnny Paul Hutto, Ronnie Lackey, and Larry Gannaway.
The family wished to thank the employees at Col. Robert L. Howard Veterans Home for the excellent care they gave Joe.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church.
