Obituary of Josephne Hannah

Josephine “Jo Ellen” Hannah, 56, of Talladega passed away April 15, 2014 at UAB Hospital. Jo Ellen was born November 24, 1957 to Averon E. “Bud” and Marlene B. Hannah. She graduated from Talladega High School Class of 1976 and attended CACC. She retired from AIDB and was a Red Jacket Mary Kay Consultant. Her favorite past time consisted of: her three horses, her flowers and yard, mission trips to Mexico to help with the Lion’s Club of Moody, AL providing eye glasses to the needy. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega where she enjoyed singing in the choir for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Hannah, grandparents, William and Josephine Hannah, Paul and Ellen Pauline Brewer and several aunts and uncles. Jo Ellen is survived by her mother, Marlene B. Hannah and a special friend and love of her life, Willis Whatley, aunts, Evelyn Rutledge and Matt Curtis (Milton), and a host of cousins and friends. The family requests memorial donations to be made to: The American Cancer Society, Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, AL 35205. She continues to give in death as she did in life and donated her body to The UAB School of Medicine for research to help find a cure for cancer. Memorial service will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Talladega. Dr. Dennis Jones and Rev.
