WE remember so fondly Martha Ann Cox from the years when I taught at Talladega High School. We also remember her ready smile and willingness to help when members of our family were students at Samford! Our love and sympathy are extended to all her family!!

What wonderful memories we had back at Howard College. She was a beautiful Homecoming Queen. I enjoyed the wonderful dates we had driving back through the mountains to that special restaurant. A wonderful person and a great college girlfriend. I'll see you at the big Homecoming !

MAC was very special to us. She was the first one we looked for at FBC, because she usually was there ahead of us--no matter how early we went. We loved her wry humor, her dedication to our church and friends. Words fail us in expressing how much she will be missed. Rest in Peace MAC! We loved you dearly!

Not many people have touched my life the way Martha Ann has, for even though she was a busy lady who was involved in many important endeavors, she never forgot to minister on a personal level to all who knew her! She will be greatly missed by me and by my daughter, Emily. She was there for us at a very difficult time and had the true gift of encouragement and love. She always could see the very best in everyone and sought to help us to know that! We will miss you, precious lady, and know that we will see you again in the portals of Glory. Praise God for you, your life, and your example to us all!

My soul is weeping. The very first of my childhood & youth church peers is gone. I didn't have a chance to soak in that she was so sick before I heard that she'd died. I know where she is, but I grieve here on earth for mine & everyone else's loss. Sue Wyatt & family, your sister was dear to all of us growing up together in Talladega & FBC.

To think of First Baptist Church Talladega is to remember Martha Ann-- in her church when doors opened and on various committees in serving her Lord. Martha Ann, you will truly be missed by so many--touched many young lives while serving on faculty at Samford University. Now...at home with Jesus.
