Obituary of Rev. Russell Drew Rodriguez

Rev. Russell Drew Rodriguez, of Talladega entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2017. He was born March 23, 1931 in Oakdale, LA.  Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 3-5 pm with a 7 pm service at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega, AL., Rev. Glen Horn officiating.Committal Services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oakdale, LA on Thursday October 5, 2017. In life he truly played the role of servant.  He served as Pastor for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Catherine Rodriguez. He leaves behind his loving family:  wife, Earlene; son Rev Ricardo Rodriguez and wife Joyce; daughter Roxane Skiver and husband Timothy; daughter Raylene Harrell and husband Johnnie; one sister Sissy Doyle and husband Millard of Youngsville, LA; 4 grandchildren Cary Rodriguez Horne (Rick), Brittany Rodriguez, Elizabeth Skiver, Eric Skiver and 3 great-grandchildren Noah Horne, Ava Horne, Preston Watkins and special cat Rosie. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International or Bemiston United Methodist Church.
