Obituary of Aunt Mary Elizabeth Shierling

Mary Elizabeth Shierling , 83, of Talladega passed away September 28, 2017 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday October 2, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with John Ross officiating. Burial will follow at the Ironaton church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home on Sunday October 1, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Aunt Mary was a native of Calhoun county and lived in Talladega for most of her life. She was employed at Wehadkee Yarn mills as a “winder” and also worked at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Ironaton church of Christ.

She is survived by her sister, Hazel Waites. Caregiver niece, Linda Allen; niece, Debbie Mitchell; nephews, Lewis Perkins, Arthur Shierling, Donald Shierling, Frank Allen Jr., Timothy Allen, Joseph Allen, Michael Shierling and Jerry Shierling Jr.
