Obituary of Harold Eugene Woodard

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 8 2014 at 10:30 am at the Munford Baptist Church with Burial in Pine Hill Memorial Park with Dr.. Craig Carlisle Officiating. He was preceded in death by his wife Abbie Sue Parnell Woodard, Parents William T. (Bill) and Amanda Louise Woodard, brothers Neal Woodard and James (Pete) Woodard, sisters Lorraine Woodard Wyatt and Betty Woodard Lakey. He is survived by his children Wayne Woodard (Sue). Beverly W. Smith and Kathy W. Daniel (Joe), 5 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Brothers John Howard Woodard, Bobby Woodard, sister Lucy Dennis. Mr. Woodard was a member Of Gideon’s, Munford Baptist Church since 1949 and was ordained as a deacon in 1951 He also contributed to the planning and building of the new Munford Baptist in 1985. He was retired from the Anniston Water Department. Member of Carpenters for Christ, Masonic Lodge 155 in Eastaboga. He loved God, Family his Community and Country. He proudly served his country in WWII with the 100 division, 398th Infantry Antitank Company. He also participated with the Civilian Conservation Corp. Family will receive friends at the church Monday from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm in Lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Munford Service League for the Abbie Sue Woodard scholarship Fund PO box 683 Munford al. 36268
