Obituary of Gerald Nathan Prickett

Gerald “Jerry” Nathan Prickett, 72, of Southside, AL passed away August 9, 2017 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Bethlehem UMC Cemetery in Clay County with Rodney Prickett officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega, AL.

Jerry was a native of Shelby County and lived in St. Clair and Etowah Counties for the past 17 years. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Westover, AL.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Dione Michele Prickett Melton (Don), Belinda Kay Prickett Smith (Ricky); son, Jerry Wayne Prickett (Janet); brother, Kenneth Prickett; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Margaret Prickett.
