Obituary of William Lawrence Hazel

William Lawrence Hazel, 49, of Talladega passed away July 5, 2017 at Citizens BMC. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Rev. Kevin Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.

Lawrence was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, AL. He was General Manager of Talladega Gran Prix Raceway and was an avid kayaker and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Betty Hazel, sons Austin Hazel, Alan Crumbley, mother Barbara Khan, step-father Dr. Khalid Khan, sister Kim Hazel, and uncle Leon Fain (Dana).

He is preceded in death by his father Harold Hazel, grandmothers Flossie Odell Fain, and Belle Dye.
