Obituary of Norma Jean Bowden

Norma Jean Bowden, 81 of Talladega passed away May 15, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Friday May 19, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Elder Paul Golden will officiate service. Her family will receive friends Friday from 10:00-11:00 am at funeral home. Mrs. Bowden was a charter member of Southwood Presbyterian Church, Co-owner of Bowden Company, volunteer for the Talladega School System, Chairman of the Library Board and was instrumental with three other women in starting Samaritan House. She is survived by her husband Jack H. Bowden, daughter Suzan Christensen (Steve), son Russell Bowden, grandchildren Stefanie Francisco (Jim) and Sam Christensen, great-granddaughter Evangeline Francisco, sister Doris Mason and brother Louie Vincent. Host of nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Southwood Presbyterian Church. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega directing services.
