Obituary of Allen Randall Morgan
Allen Randall Morgan, 42, passed away May 14, 2017, at his residence in Cropwell, AL. Graveside service will be Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Munford Memorial Cemetery. The Reverend Mollie Roberts will officiate and Mark Ponder will deliver the eulogy. Reception will follow the graveside service at the home of Jack and Pam Ponder. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega.
Mr. Morgan was a native of Lincoln, AL and valedictorian of the 1994 class of Lincoln High School. He received a BA in Psychology at UAB and Masters Degree from the University of South Alabama. Allen always had a love of theatre and most recently enjoyed performing on the stage with the Pell City Players. He had a strong love for all of his family, especially his niece and nephew, sweet tea, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Netflix binges. Allen had a huge personality, whimsical sense of humor, and never met a stranger. And, anyone who knew him, knew how much he adored his beloved dog, Moe Moe.
Survived by his parents, Randy and Becky Morgan, of Cropwell; brother Greg Morgan (Brooke) of Oxford; nephew Connor Morgan, of Oxford; niece Caroline Rose Morgan, of Oxford; Moe Moe Morgan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Rosa Lee Ponder, Sr.; Olin Morgan and Katie Brewer; Uncle James Kelly Morgan; and cousins Alison Ponder; Steve Morgan, Carlie Morgan, and Libby Ponder.
Pallbearers will be all of his first cousins and their spouses.
