Obituary of James Lloyd Perkins

Funeral services for Mr. James Lloyd “Ike” Perkins will be Saturday March 29,2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel ,with the Reverends Joe Daniels and Jeff Rutledge Officiating and burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Perkins is survived by his Wife of 57 years: Eleanor Elders Perkins , 2 Daughters: Sherry Lynn Jackson(Hargis) and Shelia Renee Casey(Michael) ,2 Sons: Marcus Lloyd Perkins, and Rickey Lee Perkins(Sandra) , 3 Sisters: Edith Parton, Ann Wyckoff , and Helen Wesley , 2 Brothers Troyce Perkins , and Roy Perkins, Grandchildren: Ivy Jackson, Cory Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Justin Perkins, Kaleigh Dew, Michelle Knapp, Ashley Allen, Mark Perkins Jr. and Nathan Perkins. 16 Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be: Larry Barton, Roy Perkins, Troyce Perkins, Larry Hurst, Author Jenkins, Brad Wesley, Ralph Haywood, and Greg Martin. Mr. Perkins was a native of Etowah County, and a resident of Talladega for most of his life. He was the former Owner /Operator of Perkins Auto Service. He was also a member of Stockdale Baptist Church. Special Thank you to the wonderful staff of Hospice Complete, Nurse Cassandra, Suezane Moore, Jasmine Ford and the Pastoral Staff. Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by brothers: Ernest Perkins, C.D. Perkins, Amos Perkins, Norris Perkins, Spurgeon Perkins and Roger Perkins.
