Deleanor E. Jenkins. 76 passed away April 17, 2017 at Shelby Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Rev. Joe Daniel will officiate and burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am before services.
Mrs. Jenkins was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the former owner of Upchurch Garage.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Arthur C. “Shorty” Jenkins, son Leslie C. Jenkins (Cynthia), grandchildren Robert, Mathew, and Christopher Jenkins, brothers John O. Elders, Euel Elders, sisters Eleanor Perkins, Doris McDaniel, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Perkins, Justin Perkins, Joshua Jackson, Robert Cresswell, Michael Casey, and Mark Perkins, Jr.
Honorary pallbearer will be Phillip Haywood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church in Talladega.
