Billie Gail Mowery, 79 of Talladega passed away April 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday April 18, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tommy Strickland will officiate the service. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 at funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Mowery was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Marie Ivey, sister Judy Ivey. She is survived by husband Claud C. Mowery, daughter Debbie Johns (Greg), grandchildren Brandon Johns (Mary Elizabeth) and Michele Johns, great-grandchildren Hudson Levi Johns and Asher Curtis Johns, sisters Sue Horn (Randy) and Glenda Hodge, brothers Jerry Ivey (Peggy) and Ronnie Ivey (Robin) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mowery was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. She graduated and work for Keevil Curl Cosmology School and she also worked for The Daily Home and was an Instructional Assistant for the Talladega County Schools. in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to the American heart association.
