Bruce Alan Hubbard, 55 of Alpine, AL passed away April 11, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Hepzibah Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Randy Hagan, Beaver Tinsley, and Steve Ponder will officiate.
Bruce served as Fire Chief at Renfroe Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years. He was the former president of Talladega County Association of Volunteer Firefighters. He worked at Talladega Superspeedway and was a cattle farmer. He was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church and a proud graduate of Auburn University.
He was survived by his mother Frances A. Hubbard, sister Nena Smith (Randy), brother Jeff Hubbard, niece Tabatha Hubbard, nephew Kevin Hubbard (Amanda), great nieces and nephews Christopher, Tanner, and Olivia Rose Hubbard.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Ponder, Jimmy McKee, Johnathan Neville, Don Johnson, Lain Hawk, Randy Ballard, Andrea Payne, and Tandy Glaze.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Armbrester, Ursula Smith, Faye Ponder, Ricky Haynes, Phillip Webb, Chris Hawkins, Ron Wideman, and Bart Formby.
