Betty Waldrop taught senior English to two of my children in high school. She was such a wonderful teacher, teaching not only her subject matter, but truly caring about her students. Betty was my friend, and, being an English major myself, we had many fun discussions looking up obscure words that were amusing to us...A thoughtful person, she once wrote me a note telling me how much joy my flowering trees brought her when she looked at them from her house up the street. Betty will be missed by me. Heart
