Obituary of Barbara Echols

God called Barbara Echols, age 71, of Ragland, AL, home on February 15, 2017 after a sixteen year battle against Alzheimer’s. She was a devoted wife to R. W. and loving Mother to Reponza and Loretta. She loved to sing in the church choir and was known for her generous, giving heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband R. W. Echols and brother Chester Sweatt. She is survived by her devoted daughters Loretta Echols and Reponza Estes (Greg); grandaughters Torie Estes and Tagan Myers (Richard); and by her siblings Diane Brakefield, Judy Davis, Eve Daffron and Emeris Sweatt.
Graveside Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 18, 2016 at St. Clair Memorial Gardens with the Rev. J.R. Harris officiating.
Special appreciation is given to Diane and Tommy Bean for their loving, gentle, and immaculate care of our beautiful Mother. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
