Obituary of Harry Reid Moore

Funeral service for Harry Reed Moore, Jr., 94, of Talladega, will be Wednesday March 19, 2014 at 11:00 am at The Chapel of Pine Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Dr. Dennis Jones will officiate and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Moore passed away March 17, 2014 at his home. He is preceded in death by his son H. Reed Moore, III. Mr. Moore was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, retired from U.S. Postal Service and a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Evelyn Moore, daughter, Linda Moore Harrison and husband Ed, daughter-in law, Rita Dear Moore, grandchildren: Chip Moore (Shannon), Will Moore (Katie), Will Harrison (Jenny), and Andrew Moore (Allison), great-grandchildren: Harrison and Wyatt Moore, Maggie Moore, and Lucy Moore, brother and sister-in-law, A.D. and Sandy Lewis. Special thanks to caregivers: Frances Garrett, Tiffany Jackson, Barbara Miller, Cassandra Lawson and very special caregiver and longtime companion Sharon Dykes.
