Funeral service for William “Bill” F. Wesson, 80, of Talladega will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joe Daniel will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct.
Mr. Wesson passed away December 19, 2016 at Talladega Health Care.
Mr. Wesson was a police officer with the city of Talladega and later retired from Georgia Pacific. He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking and yard work. Bill was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where you could always find him on Sunday passing out bulletins and other days cutting the grass at the church
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Roberta Wesson of Ironaton and son Ronald Wesson of Talladega.
His survivors include his wife of 39 years, Dorothy J. Wesson, children, Samantha Hare (Jim), Jay Wesson (Monica), Barry Morgan, (Brenda), 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chad Harper, Corey Wesson, Cody Wesson, Jason Morgan, Drew Morgan, and Tom Williams.
