Obituary of John Melvin Perry

John Melvin Perry, born 5-11-46 was called home to God on 11-21-16. Greeting him at Heaven’s gate was his most beloved wife Caroline Isbell Perry. He was a devoted father to his children Marie Perry, Becky Perry, and Nolan and Kim Perry. He was also a loving grandfather to his grandchildren Adam England, Amanda England, Nathanael Phillips, Dinnin Perry, Lillith Perry and Rachael Perry. He was also a caring Uncle to his nieces and nephews. Mr. Perry is survived by his sisters Gracie Wentworth and Romona Clark. Preceding him in death were his sister Faye Morrow and brothers Sam, Danny, Wayne and Van Perry. Mr. Perry was the owner of All South Fabricators Inc. He was also an active member of the Shriners of Zamora Temple and was part of the Legends Unit as well as former President of the Dixie Shrine Club. The family wished to make honorable mention of Freddy Wiseman, John's life long best friend and Pat Latham, John’s best friend and special lady in his life. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Usrey Funeral Home, 21271 Hwy 231 North, Pell City. Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. and services and will be at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dixie Shrine Club or to the Zamora Temple Transportation Fund.
