Obituary of Jeffrey Henderson Lakey

Funeral service for Jeffery Henderson Lakey, 45 of Munford will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Pastor Michael Cox will officiate and burial will follow in Munford Memorial Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home. Mr. Lakey passed away November 19, 2016 in Calhoun County. Jeff was a native of Munford and was a Controls Engineer at International Automotive Components (IAC). He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Anniston, AL where he was baptized in 2015 and professed Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife Violeta Lakey , daughter Alyssa Lee Lakey and her mother Kelly Hubbard, sister Pinky Lackey (Doug), brothers Scott Lakey, Boyd Lakey (Laura), and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Rusty Lakey and parents Russell and Betty Lakey. Pallbearers will be Mark Gleck, Robbie Lakey, Brandon Lakey, Lucas Lakey, Steven Hubbard, and David Woodard. Shane “Short Dog” Smith will serve as honorary pallbearer.
