Ronnie Dean Oglesby, 76, of Munford passed away November 6, 2016 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Munford Church of Christ with Shane Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega.
Ronnie was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was a member of Munford Church of Christ and owner/operator of Oglesby Trucking Company. He was a devoted, hard working, family man.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Oglesby, son Ronald Keith Oglesby (Meleah), daughters Debra Oglesby Duncan (Jeff), Darlene Oglesby Hamlin (Alan), brothers Dwight Oglesby, Travis Oglesby, sister Gwen Johnson, grandchildren Lance Duncan, Kaitlin Oglesby, Kelsey Haynes, Brooke Rizzo, Cole Oglesby, Zach Duncan, Kacie Oglesby, Holly Hamlin, Nick Hamlin, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents George “Cook” and Bessie Oglesby and brother Michael Oglesby.
Grandsons and Glenn Bussie will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Wheeles, Gary Cromwell, Billy Oglesby, Keith Blankenship, and Mike Putt.
