Jacqueline “Mama Jack” Brewer of Talladega passed away October 21, 2016. Graveside services will be held Thursday 2:00 pm October 27, 2016 at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church of Talladega for over 60 years where served in the choir and as a member of the WMU.
Over the years “Mama Jack” became loved by her children’s friends and their families. Christmas, Halloween and other special occasions were celebrated by many at “Mama Jack’s”. She loved all these special times. “Mama Jack” always had a special place in her heart for anyone needing comforting, healing or spiritual lifting. This was her passion and giving freely by her to everyone she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F.E. “Bo” Brewer and her parents, Rufus and Dora Grubbs.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Brewer Harmon (Daniel JR), Bessemer, AL, Connie Brewer Harris(Jim), Fayetteville, NC and son Steve Brewer, Birmingham, AL. Grandchildren, Jennifer Roberson Kiser(Michael), Pelham ,AL, Addam Brewer Roberson(Shalon), Fuquay-Varina, NC, Wendy Harris(Robson), Fayetteville, NC, Jonathon Harris, New York, NY, Justin Daniel Brewer, Chicago, Linsey Brewer Champino (Mark), Tampa, FL. Great-grandchildren, Owen Brewer Roberson, Taylor Brooke Roberson, Bogdan Roberson, Fuquay-Varina, NC, Lillian Grace Kiser, William James Kiser, Michael McLane Kiser, Pelham, AL, and Abigail Rey Champino, Tampa, FL.
Special thanks to the 4th floor staff at Golden Living Meadowood in Bessemer for the love and care given to our mother during her stay at the facility.
To our Mother’s doctor, Dr. Barthold, thank you for taking such good care of her and the family.
Special thanks to Oasis Hospice for the love and support for Mother and the family.
