Obituary of Lou Rainy Boggs

She is preceded in death by her father, W. T. Strickland, and husband, Randall Boggs. She is survived by her daughter, Joylyn Boggs, mother Doris Strickland, brother Tom Strickland (Cindy), sisters-in-law: Margaret Brannon Sollie and Wellovee Willis, nieces: Ashlee Strickland, Jaime Strickland Lightfoot (Taylor), Tonya Hendrix, Denise Harris Ellison (Steve), nephews Tracey Boggs (Sara), Mark Harris, eight great-nieces and nephews and many honorary nieces and nephews, a host of cousins and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.The Rev Brad Mitchell and Rev Leon Burdette officiating. Lou Rainey was a graduate of Winterboro High School, an active member of Alpine Baptist Church, former parent advisory committee member at University of Alabama, current member of Mt. Ida quilt society, and an active participant in the Alpine Outreach Ministry. She retired after 29 years of service at AIDB. Pallbearers will be Allen Vincent, Luke Thomas, Eddie Wade, Mark Harris, Tracey Boggs, Dave Johnston, Rex Killough, and Glenn Dillard. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Boggs, Dawson Boggs, Fletcher Boatright, Clay Johnston, Trevor Dyer, and members of Alpine Baptist Church

Memorials

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alpine Baptist Church scholarship fund, the AIDB We Love Our Kids fund, or to The Rise School in Tuscaloosa, AL
