My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Robert McBride. It is a sad time, and to reflect back on all of his accomplishments in touching. To perhaps share some comfort, please know that our Creator is not indifferent to your suffering. God will soon bring a complete solution. You can read this, in the Bible, at Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21;3,4. I am very sorry for your loss.

Margie and Family, the world lost a good man. Margie, as you know, my deceased brother Ed and Bob had parallel paths, Auburn, PiKA, Navy Program; I'm sure Ed and Bob are having a good time talking about those days.
Peace.

I won't attempt to add to the long list of Bobby Gene's accomplishments. However, I will say that his spirit will live on through the many young lives that he touched at Camp Mac and elsewhere. He will forever be present in the foot hills of Cheaha Mountain and the trails of Camp Mac. May his family find comfort in the many fond memories he helped create. He truly gave much more than he ever took.

My deepest emotion accompanies this tribute & laud toward this exemplary gentleman. Truly one of the finest men & servant, that I've ever been privileged to know! Whenever my thoughts have reached crossroads in decision making, I've very often found myself posing the simple question of,"what would Bob Gene do"? I was always assured without a doubt, that what he did was 'the right thing'! My my life has been made all the better, simply by my path having been blessed to have crossed with that of Bob Gene's!
The world has unfortunately lost a saint of a man; yet only to The Perfect Kingdom. he's earned his heavenly crown of glory, where peace & joy will forever more be his companions... I'm sure he'll hear the words of the Almighty say,"Well done my good & faithful servant". God's mercy & His peace to you, "Aunt Margy", John & Allen.
Thank you "Mr. Mac" for your indelible, sterling impact upon my life. Save me a place up there, and don't be late for dinner!

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. McBride was a wonderful man. My step-dad, Joe Bosarge, thought the world of him and enjoyed their time working together at AIDB. I myself spent several summers at Camp Mac and have many wonderful memories from there. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of sorrow.

I met Bob on two occasions first at Camp Mac when Polly joined and secondly in my hometown of Belfast Northern Ireland as the Mc Brides cruised the UK. I always found him to be an upstanding man of principal and devotion to his cause of providing a summer camp of fun and education All three of my children from the UK have benefited from the Camp Mac education People like Bob don't appear every day and our hearts go out to all the Mc Bride family at this time. Dearest Margie, Allen & John,
On behalf of Momma, Ron & Me, I just want you and the rest of your family to know how much we love you all and have you on our hearts and in our prayers at this time. Our hearts are surely breaking for you and us as we will no longer be able to share in our earthly friendship & fellowship with Bob Gene, but knowing he is with our Lord, at Peace and in no pain softens the sorrow a bit. Hopefully by Saturday he & Daddy will have the Best seats in the Heavens for the Auburn Game! It makes me Smile to think of the reunions taking place at the Gates about now. Peace & Love be with you All.
