Obituary of Rodney Eugene Suggs

Funeral service for Rodney Eugene Suggs, 57, of Talladega will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Brother Frank Arnall and Brother Jim Arnall will officiate and burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Suggs passed away March 6, 2014 at Citizens BMC. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Eva Clark Suggs, sisters, Dorothy and Delindell “Humpy” Suggs. He was a native of Clay County Alabama and lived in Talladega for the past 27 years. He worked at Talladega Foundry and was a member of Bethel Christian Church in Ashland, AL. He is survived by his wife, Carol Suggs, children, Kay (Kris) Taylor, Jeromy (Candice) Suggs and Stacey (Brian) Thrasher, grandchildren, Tristen and Josh Taylor, Autumn and Gabriel Suggs, sister Faye Hawkins, brother, Donald (Connie Suggs and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lacey, Robert Taylor, Mickey Parks, Roger Gunter, Jimmy Hardy, and Jeff Hendon. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class of Bethel Christian Church.
