Obituary of James Earl "Jimmy" Noah

James Earl (Jimmy) Noah was known as Bear to everyone. He was a lifelong resident of Ragland, and a member of Hardin’s Chapel Church. Throughout his struggle with cancer it was his faith in God and the many prayers of the community that sustained him. He was a beloved husband, father, pawpaw, uncle, and friend. He was a kind, generous and caring man. If you needed money he was quick to pull out his wallet. If you had a problem he was a good listener. He epitomized the saying, “a friend in need is a friend in deed.”
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ollie and Nellie Noah, his brother Gerald, his maternal and paternal grandparents and a number of aunts and uncles.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 47 years Pat, daughter Niki (Ray) Patterson,five grandchildren Alex, Randon, Connor, Alyssa, and Dayton; nephew Greg and niece Amy, two great nieces , one great-nephew, one great great nephew, sister-in-law Dorothy, “brother” Donald, Aunt Ernestine Lodge, and a number of cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Noah will be held Sat. July 30th at Hardins Chapel Church in Ragland at 12:00 P.M. with Bro. Doug Ford officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will be at Box Cemetery in Ragland.
