Funeral service for Geraldine Green Smith, 77, of Lincoln will be Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at Dry Valley Baptist Church. Brother Bill Pruitt and Dr. Stann Jett will officiate. Burial will follow in Dry Valley Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mrs. Smith passed away July 12, 2016 at Citizens BMC. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Fannie Green, daughter, Stacey Poss Calhoun, son, Mickey Gerald Poss, brother, John R. Green. Geraldine was a longtime resident of Lincoln, a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church, WMU director and Missions at Dry Valley Baptist. She was known for her decorating at the church as well. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Earl T. Smith, son, Scotty Poss (Vicky), grandchildren, Brooke Poss, Haley White (David), Brittany Calhoun, Zack Poss, Tyler Calhoun, great-grandchildren, Brody Poss and Rider Weldon, sister, Joann Bishop, nieces, Dianne Battles, Lisa Green nephew, Mike Green, and special friend Judy Morrow. Pallbearers will be Zack Poss, Tyler Calhoun, David White, Rex Smith, Warren Freeman, and Dr. Stann Jett.
