Obituary of Norma Geraldine "Jeri" Hollis

Norma Geraldine (Jeri) Adkins Hollis, 86, of Pell City, AL, passed away on July 7, 2016. Funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home on July 9, 2016 at 11:00am with Reverend Byron Vance of Pell City First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Usrey Funeral Home on July 9th at 9:30am. Usrey Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Jeri was born in Acmar, AL to Mildred and Fred Adkins on March 4, 1930. She was a graduate of Pell City High School class of 1948 and a member of the Pell City First United Methodist Church. Jeri and her husband, Bob, owned and operated The Pell City Flower & Gift Shop for 41 years. The flower shop—opened in 1945 by Jeri’s parents and currently in the hands of the 3rd generation—was not only a business to Jeri, but also a passion. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Jeri’s love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was not only spoken, but also felt through her sweet smile and warm hugs. Jeri is survived by her husband, Bob; daughters, Karen Vardaman (Mart) and Cindy Luby (Eric); grandchildren, Jennifer Gilbert (Kyle), Tracy Waters (Mike), Ray Smith (Sheena), Holli Driver, Mark Steed (Ami), and Erica Williams (Justin); and great-grandchildren, Nichole, Ethan, Jayden, Katlyn, Kyla, Zoe, Claire, Dawson and Micah. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Fred Adkins and sister, Carol Adkins Hollis.
