Funeral service for Lena Elaine Autrey Smith, 70 of Munford will be Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jeff Weathers will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford. Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 pm. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct.
Mrs. Smith passed away July 4, 2016 at UAB.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William David “Jr.” Smith, Jr., parents, James C. and Pauline R. Autrey, Sr.
She was a native Calhoun County and a longtime resident of Munford and a member of Munford Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of West Anniston Baptist Church for many years.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son Dennis Gregory (Susan) Smith, Donald Glenn Smith, grandchildren, Andrew Tyler and Wife Coty Lackey Smith, Kaitlyn Nicole Smith, brothers, James C. (Carol) Autrey, Jr., Larry D. (Annalisa) Amerson, sisters, Nona Ann Autrey Cosper, Debra (Findley) Wickers, aunts, Margaret E. Valine, Maggie Rogers and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends and relatives. Honorary pallbearers will be “Her ladies” of Daughters of Ruth, Sunday School Class at Munford Baptist Church.
