Funeral service for Hildegard Salters, 86 of Munford will be Friday June 3, 2016 a 2:00 pm at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Shane Clark will officiate and burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Her family will receive friends from 12:30 -2:00 at the funeral home. Mrs. Salters passed away June 1, 2016 at Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Salters was born in Germany and a member of Munford Church of Christ. She was an Army wife and loved to travel. During her travels as an Army wife she was able to visit many countries and states. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Crocheting was her favorite hobby. Family was very important to her. She will be sorely missed by all. Mrs. Salters is preceded in death by her parents, Ludwig and Margarte Dirlam, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Her survivors include her husband of 61 years, Paul Salters, son, Thomas Lester Salters (Suzanne), grandchildren Wallis Paul Salters (Denise), and Kaitlin Suzanne Salters, godchild, Maria Jung, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wallis Salters, Matt Hubbard, Andy Colette, Jeff Stevens, Jimmy Nelson, and Tyler Clark.
