Funeral service for James F. Evans, 68 of Clay County, will be Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Rev. Roger Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow with military honors at Midway Memory Gardens. His family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at Usrey Funeral Home.
He was a Marine in the U.S. Marine Corps who fought in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Evans, son, Robert Evans (Yancey) daughter, Jennifer Evans, step-children, Sean Waters (Kayla) and Sonja Jackson (Allen), 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brothers, Benny Evans and Billy (Faith) Evans, sister, Kitty Evans, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Shirey, Roger Shirey, Lane Evans, Shea Brown, Bobby Hogan and Donnie Joe Shirey,. Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Brown.
