Obituary of Jim Henry Mullinax

Jim Henry Mullinax, 84 of Talladega passed away May 10, 2016. Funeral service will be Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Rev. Martin Murray, Rev. Jeff Freeman and Rev. Bryan Camp will officiate and burial will follow in Midway Memory Gardens. His family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Mullinax was a native of Talladega. He retired from the Talladega County Road Department. He loved to fish and whittle and to give away bubble gum to everyone he saw. He was known as the “Bubble Gum Man” at church. He was a member of Chandler Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by parents, Henry Horace Mullinax and Bessie Lee Mullinax, brother, Sammy G. Mullinax. Mr. Mullinax is survived by his wife, Anna Lee Mullinax, daughter, Lee Ann Griffith (Roger), grandchildren, Devan Griffith, Connor Griffith, and Shealee Griffith, brother, Johnny Joe Mullinax and several nieces and nephews.
