He impacted many lives over three decades of coaching youth baseball and football. He held a very special place in his heart for the youth of Pell City and the youth sports program will miss him. He loved the Lord and was quick to let others know of his faith. He will be greatly missed by many.
Survivors: Wife: Mechell Gurley, Daughter: Amanda Bedford (David), Sons: Joe Gurley and Taylor Gurley, Father: Bob Gurley, Sisters: Cindy Rawson and Angela Black (Shane), Brother: Dan Gurley, Sr., Grandchildren: Ely, Dacarri, Harper, Cash and Andreah, and numerous nieces and nephews
Service: 2:00 pm on Sunday April 10, 2016 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City
Clergy: Rev. Kevin Jones, Rev. Barry Thornburg
Cemetery: Stockdale Baptist Cemetery
Visitation: Saturday, April 9, 2016, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home
