Obituary of Larry Brian Robinson

Funeral service for Larry Brian Robinson, 70, of Talladega will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega. Bro. James Reeves will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. His family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home. Mr. Robinson passed away March 2, 2016 at UAB Hospital. He was born in Talladega, AL on July 30, 1945 to Roy M. and Mary Robinson. He was a lifelong Talladega resident. He retired from Alcatel Lucent after 36 years of service. He was an ardent Alabama fan. Larry is survived by his spouse, Mary Robinson and his children, Matthew Bryan Robinson from Talladega, Brooke Reaves (Matt) from Foley, Alabama and Jennie Robinson from Talladega. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brendan Eric Trammell, Connor Vincent Robinson and Caitlin Phillips. His siblings are Donald Robinson (Carolyn) from Talladega, Robin Robinson (Rosemary) from Talladega, Mary Virginia Horn (Larry) from Munford, AL, and Peggy Bright (Ted) from Munford, AL. He is also survived by his special sister-in-law, Sue Ellen Robinson from Talladega, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers Billy Robinson, Tommy Robinson and sister Sara Robinson. Larry’s special loves were his family and friends. Pallbearers will be Tom Robinson, Kelly Horn, Ray Johns, Spud Davis, Billy Parks, Bo Reeves, Larry Reeves, Jimmy Ray Harris, and Todd Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be THS Class of 1964, employees of Citizens BMC and Alcatel-Lucent.
